Affiliate Program & Disclosure

Mad Money Academy runs two separate things people sometimes call “affiliate.” First, our own referral program, where members can earn commission for introducing others to the Academy. Second, our participation in the Amazon Associates program for the product links inside our tools. Both are described below, plainly.
The Mad Money Academy Referral Program
Every member gets a personal referral link. When someone you refer subscribes to a paid membership, you earn a recurring commission for as long as they keep paying. It is designed to be honest and simple — no buy-ins, no recruitment quotas, no ranks to chase.
How it works
- Free to join, free to collect. Any account — including free-tier and even cancelled accounts — can have a referral link and collect commissions. You never have to pay anything or upgrade to participate.
- Three levels. You earn on the people you refer directly (Level 1), on the people they refer (Level 2), and one level deeper (Level 3). The rates are 30% at Level 1, 8% at Level 2, and 3% at Level 3 of the subscription revenue for each paid billing period.
- You only earn on real subscription revenue. Commissions are triggered by an actual paid invoice for a real membership — never by signups, clicks, recruiting, or how many people are in your downline. If nobody pays, nobody earns. Full stop.
- Recurring, not front-loaded. Each successful billing period generates fresh commission. Nothing is pre-paid for future periods. If a member cancels, future commissions simply stop — there is nothing to claw back.
When commissions clear (the clearing schedule)
A commission is first recorded as Pending when a payment is made. It becomes Available (payable to you) only once that revenue is non-refundable, so we never pay out money we might have to give back:
- Monthly plans — clear immediately (non-refundable).
- Annual plans — clear after the 7-day refund window closes, matching our refund policy.
- Founding memberships — clear immediately (final sale).
If an underlying payment is refunded or charged back, the matching commission is reversed. If it was already paid out to you, the reversal is netted against your future earnings rather than clawed back from your bank.
Payouts
- Once your Available balance reaches $50, you can withdraw it. Payouts are handled securely through Stripe; you'll complete a short one-time payout setup (identity + bank details) the first time.
- Below the $50 minimum, your balance stays safe and keeps accruing — nothing is lost.
- You are responsible for any taxes on commissions you earn. For meaningful earnings, tax reporting (e.g. a 1099 in the U.S.) may apply.
What this is NOT
- It is not an MLM buy-in. There is no fee to join, no product you must purchase, and no requirement to recruit anyone.
- There are no recruitment rewards. You are never paid for signing people up or for the size of your network — only for real subscription revenue those referrals generate.
- No income guarantees. What you earn depends entirely on whether the people you refer choose to subscribe and stay subscribed.
Fair play
- Referral credit is first-touch: the first valid referral link a new member arrives through wins, and it is permanent.
- You can't refer yourself, and you can't be placed in your own upline.
- Fraudulent, misleading, or spammy promotion — or self-dealing to manufacture commissions — can result in reversal of earnings and removal from the program.
- We may adjust program terms and rates going forward, with notice. Changes are not retroactive to already-cleared commissions.
Amazon Associates Disclosure
Mad Money Academy is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
Some of the product links throughout the Service — including buy links surfaced in the Scout, Hunt, portfolio, and lookup tools — are Amazon-affiliate links. If you click one of these links and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
- Affiliate relationships never change our scores, signals, or methodology.
- We surface prices and links because they are useful, not because they are monetized.
- This disclosure is provided in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and affiliate marketing.
