Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Mad Money Academy ("MMA," "we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

  • Account data: your email address and (optionally) your name and chosen display name.
  • Authentication data: if you sign in with Google, a Google account identifier; if you set a password, a securely hashed password (we never store it in plain text).
  • Portfolio & usage data: the sets you track, watchlists, cost basis you enter, preferences (e.g., return target, notification settings), and how you interact with the Service.
  • Billing data: for paid tiers, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and stores your payment details; we receive limited information such as subscription status and the last four digits of your card. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Technical data: IP address, device/browser type, and log data collected automatically.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service (scores, portfolio tools, alerts).
  • To authenticate you and secure your account.
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • To send transactional emails (sign-in links, verification, password resets) and — if you opt in — deal and sell-signal alerts.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. Third-party services

We share data with service providers only as needed to operate the Service:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Resend — transactional and notification email delivery.
  • Amazon (SP-API & Associates) — pricing data and affiliate links.
  • Neon — database hosting.
  • Vercel — application hosting.
  • Google — optional OAuth sign-in.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in (session cookies) and to remember basic preferences. We do not use cookies to sell your data. You can control cookies through your browser, but disabling session cookies will prevent you from signing in.

5. Data retention

We retain your account and portfolio data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data (holdings, watchlists, memberships, and profile), subject to limited retention required for legal, security, or accounting purposes.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location (including under GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to opt out of certain processing. You can update your profile and delete your account directly from your account settings, or contact us at support@madmoneyacademy.com to exercise these rights. You can unsubscribe from marketing or alert emails at any time via the link in those emails or your notification settings; essential transactional emails may still be sent.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (including TLS in transit and password hashing) to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
